#ReinventedBlogTakeover: Of getting comfortable in your skin.

This world is full of so much diversity, and it would be a shame if the version of you got lost in everyone else. We were not born to be the same person. Our talents and dreams can very well be similar but how you deal with your life does not necessarily have to be the same as the next person. You are unique, you are powerful and a strong addition to this world.

Last year, we did a challenge where you list down a number of things that are positive about yourself and you repeat them to yourself in front of the mirror everyday for 30 days. It was such a powerful exercise to take part in, and we felt that this was some form of "peer-to-peer mentorship" where we encourage each other as young women and girls to be the best versions of ourselves in all aspects.

Sometimes we lose the definition of ourselves and the things we want to accomplish because we get sidetracked. True, this world is also full of hard times and people who are constantly trying to knock us down. However, when you stand firm in who you are as an individual and you know what you are capable of, you stand a very high chance of not letting the whispers ruin your confidence and your dreams. Stand tall! You are a powerhouse.

A little encouragement: I encourage you to find a positive accountability partner (or a mentor). Someone who knows your strengths and when you are down they can remind you of how much of a powerhouse you are. Sometimes all it takes is one person to lift you right back up. Get yourself one of those. If you need a mentor to help you achieve your dreams, this is what we are here for.

Happiness is a combination of so many things, but allow me to highlight in this very moment that it is - getting to a place where you know who you are as an individual. Knowing your strengths and your weaknesses and being comfortable in who you are when you look in the mirror. Plain and simply put, being comfortable in your own skin and getting to enjoy being you! Not afraid to achieve your goals because you know that when you fulfil your purpose in life, you can accomplish so much more.

Own who you are and your association with anyone else will work much better. I shall leave you with this amazing quote that I believe will be passed on to many generations to come.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,

talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other

people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of

God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,

we unconsciously give other people

permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,

Our presence automatically liberates others.
